Stephen Orsak - Silly Someone (hippocamp)

This is an incredibly interesting release from US artist Stephen Orsak. While it combines many different peices of ambient, idm, and downtempo aesthetics, it isn't quite strictly an electronic release. Thanks to touches of guitars and other organic elements that seperate this release from the wave of technical electronics so common in the scene. Some standouts include 'A Simple Response' with it's shuffled stacatto beats, the jazzy abstract guitar plunkering trip-hop of 'Her New Form', the chimey down beat 'Gabriel', the brainwashy philosophical ranted 'Open to Encounters', and the bell tinkling fell good 'Silly Someone'.
