Vexion - Line Drop ep (mute)

I'll be dealing here with Aaron Munson's, aka Vexion, otherwise known as 1/2 of the now mostly solo Ilkae, classic 'Line Drop ep' released in 1999 on the late modlabel mute. Presented on this ep is about an hours worth of clicky subtle ambience. While most of the tracks remain minimal with soft washes of sound caressing you mind, their is some more upbeat moments like 'Caal Point' with it's crunching gurgling beats. The ep reaches a high point on the simply titled 'ö', with it's effectively beautiful melody lines over a nice steady idm beat. Even with it's age, this release still finds it's way regularly onto my playlist. A nice peice of electronic music history and essential listening pheedbakk style.
